CUNARD QUEEN ELIZABETH
The Queen Elizabeth is the newest addition to Cunard’s line of three ships, similarly named after its two predecessor’s. The ship was christened by Queen Elizabeth herself in 2010.
This luxurious liner is now a favourite with many cruise line passengers, due to the prestigious facilities and many attributes it has to offer passengers. It is all down to the minor details on board this fine ocean liner, care and meticulous attention have been paid to every aspect from the fabulous accommodation to the daily entertainment on offer. The Queen Elizabeth has that certain je ne sais quoi that many other cruise ships have tried to match, but dismally failed.
Accommodation aboard the Queen Elizabeth can meet the needs of even the most discerning traveller. If you want a memorable cruise and are looking for the ultimate in opulence, then a stay in one of the sumptuous and luxurious Queen Grill suites will certainly meet your needs and exceed all your expectations. These fabulous suites offer extremely spacious accommodation with your own private living area and each has its own magnificent marbled bathroom. All have large outside balconies. A private butler is assigned to attend to you, to meet your every need and whim. You will also be privy to priority boarding and debarkation, as well as having access to the ships finest restaurant where you can dine in style and enjoy the most exquisite dishes each cooked to perfection.
The Britannia Club Balcony and Staterooms, although not as prestigious as the Grill Suites, still offer guests spacious accommodation along with all the modern comforts you would expect from a new state of the art liner.
Dining on board the Queen Elizabeth will leave you utterly spoilt for choice. The liner has four main restaurants and an abundance of smaller venues to dine in. The Queens Grill restaurant is the most impressive of all, offering a supreme a la carte menu with a wide selection of tantalising dishes. The other main four restaurants menus are created by Cunard’s culinary expert Jean-Marie Zimmermann and all offer a choice of dishes to suit even those with the most particular of palates.
During the day there is a vast array of ongoing activities to participate in. You can shop till you drop in some of the finest stores, or if you prefer you can relax in the Royal Spa and treat yourself to a well-deserved massage or spa treatment. They have many games on deck that you can take part in including croquet and bowls, or you can while away the hours with a relaxing afternoon viewing movies at the cinema. Afternoon tea is served in the fabulous glass Garden Lounge or the impressive Queens Room. On board the ship they also run a separate programme for children, available to those aged 2-17 years. This helps keep the younger ones occupied, freeing up your time so you can relax and unwind.
Entertainment of an evening is stupendous. There is a profusion of bars and clubs, all offering their own form of music and entertainment that is guaranteed to meet all tastes. Whether you have a penchant for classical or modern music, prefer to listen or dance, there will be something to suit. If you want to exercise your vocal chords then there is also a singing pianist, as well as karaoke available of an evening in the Golden Lion. If your preference is for something more glamourous then you can attend a glitzy cocktail reception, go to the theatre, have a flutter at the Empire Casino or attend a grandeur ball. One thing is for certain, you will never be bored aboard the Elizabeth.
Cunard has won many awards over the years including ‘Best Luxury Cruise Liner’, once you have taken a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth the reason for this will become immediately apparent.
